AC service... Upon arrival I found the outdoor unit run capaster had burned the wire connections. The capacitor was dead with oil leaking out. I replaced the capacitor and rewired the burnt connections. i checked the system charge and amp draw (9.8 compressor/ 1.8 fan)+ super heat and subcooling, along with manufacturer charge chart and system refrigerant cycle is within manufacturer specifications. Customer has elected to sign up with platinum maintenance agreement today. I'm charging for the capacitor and labor less the 15% discount.

Customer turned unit off this morning and unit didn’t come back on when turned on. Touched wire connections from power to unit and unit came on. Clean up both connections and reconnect. Unit cooling properly.

On arrival compressor was not running due to thermal overload. Cooled off the compressor started the equipment and it has been running normally ever since. Explained to the client that there may be an intermittent problem that caused the compressor to overheat. Suggested to consider premier program if issue reoccurs. Installed drain pan treatment. Renewed maintenance plan.
